CNG switches so seamlessly between Spanish and English, his raps are drawing in fans from all over the world. We caught up with him to talk touring, his process, and his latest single, "Playmaker."

Q. What motivated you to start creating music? What age did you begin? What's the inspiration behind "Playmaker"?How did you approach rap differently this year compared to years past?So how did the collaboration with Snoop Dogg start?What do the weeks before a new album entail for you as the head of the label?Why is MusicDigi a great platform for musicians?What's next for CNG?

Q. What motivated you to start creating music?
I've always had a passion and interest for the instruments of music since I was little.

Q. What age did you begin?
I started writing music when I was about 14 years old.

Q. What's the inspiration behind "Playmaker"? 
I just wanted to have fun with it. My fans have always wanted me to rap in Spanish so that's what I did. Especially since I have a lot of fans in Mexico that only speak Spanish. I decided to balance out the song with half Spanish half English. I really just wanted to show people where I come from and what made me who I am today.



Q. How did you approach rap differently this year compared to years past?
By including Spanish in my music. A lot of my fans have been asking for it. I want to expand my music more towards Mexico and Latin countries.

Q. So how did the collaboration with Snoop Dogg start?
A friend of mine reached out that was putting the record together and asked me if I was willing to jump on it. It was definitely a great experience and I am truly thankful to have worked with a legend.

Q. What do the weeks before a new album entail for you as the head of the label?
I was supposed to release an album this year but decided to release everything as singles instead. We live in a time where there's so much going on on the internet. Day by day people's attention span is getting shorter and shorter. I like albums, but let's be honest, half of the people that listen to them never end up listening to the second half. I prefer to invest my time on each song and dedicate a proper roll out per single.

Q. Why is MusicDigi a great platform for musicians?
MusicDigi is overall a great platform. Very helpful and easy to work with. The love is genuine with MusicDigi and I feel like they overall just want to help. I am thankful to work with them. 

Q. What's next for CNG?
2023 has been a business year for me. I've learned a lot and I'm ready to use that knowledge towards my music. My first headlining tour is set to start August 24th- September 16th. I'm excited to meet all my supporters across states. A lot more music, a lot more goals, a lot more accomplishments and a lot more success. I'm excited to show everyone what's in store.
