We go behind the scenes with music producer Budda Beats for a firsthand look at the making of Quavo of Migos' hit song "Give It To Em" in the latest instalment of MusicDigi's Behind the Song series.



Quavo's gold-certified album Quavo Huncho reached number 2 on the US Billboard 200. A fan favorite off the album is "Give It To Em," featuring Saweetie.

Budda Beats said he started off with the mellow piano to set the mood, next bringing in the pizzicato. He switches up the octave and adds the clap to give it more energy and define the beat, moving next to the hi-hat. He throws in the 808s to bring it all together. He also talks about the importance of adding elements that may not be noticeable to listeners but fill out the sound.
